Belton class - Year 1
Welcome to Year 1 at Ryhall CE Academy!
We are thrilled to welcome you and your child to an exciting year ahead! Year 1 is a fantastic time where children build on their skills and develop greater independence in their learning. We explore a wide range of exciting topics across the curriculum, helping children develop curiosity, resilience, and a love of learning.
Our classroom is a happy, supportive environment where everyone is encouraged to do their best and succeed. Throughout the year, your child will have the opportunity to explore new subjects, develop new skills, and make lasting friendships.
Our dedicated team is committed to creating a fun, safe, and nurturing space for all students, where they can grow confidently and thrive. We look forward to working alongside you in fostering a love for learning and helping your child achieve their best.
Please take a look at the files below for our termly curriculum maps, which outline the exciting topics we’ll be covering, as well as the Maths page for our termly KIRF checks. These resources will give you a clear overview of what your child will be learning each term and help you support them at home.
Here's to a fantastic year ahead filled with exciting moments, new adventures, and memorable experiences!

To help inspire a love for reading, we will also be sending home our special “Wrapped up” books every Monday, which will need to be returned by Thursday.
